I am a published/produced writer (plays, short stories)/award winning educator/musician. I started performing professionally at age 14.

I spend much of my free time in wilderness. I hike farms and hunt for Indian artifacts and fossils. This year I've seen: eagles, owls, hawks, ruby-throated hummingbirds, songbirds, bobcats, coyotes and reptiles. The landscape is tallgrass prairie, hills and rivers. If'd you'd care to find a 500,000,000 year old fossil or an arrowhead or two, I'm your guy. Care to pet a rattlesnake? I'm your guy. (petting rattlesnake optional)

I don't own a suit. I'm a lefty--handed and political. I'm difficult yet cuddly. Cormac McCarthy, Sam Beckett, William Trevor, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Doris Lessing are gods to me. Children love me; it's mutual. I am passionate about archeology (I am part Shawnee Indian), fiction, being reckless (in Nature) and my friends.

I was trained as an opera singer, love classical music. Charles Ives, Duke Ellington and Gershwin send me. I was also Judas and Jesus in "Jesus Christ, Superstar" for three years when I was young and cute, and I love rock. I dig Dylan, the Beatles, The Band, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waitts and the god Johnny Cash. June Carter Cash: be still my heart.
