Ok, let's start with a real simple question. Why is it so hard to find someone who doesn't want to play games? I can imagine most of you have had this problem on here at one time or another. So where are the real people hanging out at?

I've tried to keep this profile updated, but I have no idea what people want to know. so if you have questions -- any question -- just ask. There isn't anything that's off limits. I'm not blessed with a "silver tongue" or great typing skills, so expect a pretty direct response............

For those of you who have taken the time to read this far, here's the basics. Yes I am 48 & divorced. I have 2 kids, both teenagers. a girl 17, a boy 19. My son lives with me currently. I wanted them after we split & they chose to live with me. Made me feel pretty good. My relationship with my kids has never been better, although my daughter just recently moved to her mom's to try & patch it up between them. If you have kids, that's fine because they're as much a part of you as mine are me. They are a major, major part of my life, but there's room for more.

Have a good job with a great company, been there 13 years on Oct.01. I work in Olathe, so I'm in that area at least 5 days a week. Considering moving up closer to the city when possible.

Oh, you've got to like dogs. I have currently 3 Alaskan Malamutes.

Sorry, not a Chiefs fan here -- but I don't care if you are. Been a Dolphins fan since '70, don't plan on changing. Was a baseball fan at one time, but when some of those guys started making more per game than most people in a year, I lost interest.
I do like college football, just don't follow it extremely close.

I've listed a few of my interests above, but there are many more things that I like or enjoy. I do have a sense of humor, at times which can be viewed as warped or sarcastic. I love a little good natured verbal sparring, like good conversation. I like for people to speak their mind. You have an opinion & I'd like to hear it.

I guess I'd like to find someone with a sense of humor, who isn't afraid to voice their opinion or discuss things and mostly personality. Just be yourself. Lastly -- if you want to know, just ask, don't assume things.

Just now getting back out here. After all these years, I do find the dating thing a little scary & intimidating. Seems like things have changed so much.

the first date would probably be a "get to know each other" process. i'm pretty flexible about it though. a nice meal would be good. someplace where we could talk. i imagine both of us would have several questions we would want to ask. someplace where you'd feel comfortable. maybe something neither of us had done or been before.
