| | I am a strong, independent, intelligent woman. I will be tamed by a strong, intelligent man with a wicked sense of humour. You are sweet and kind, and sometimes a total ass! You don't need a woman to complete you, companionship would be nice though. You aren't jealous of my male friends, or that flirting is part of who I am (and I'm careful to keep it harmless fun). You are cognizant of appropriate behaviour but love to let loose and have fun on occasion.
I am a reasonably attractive middle-aged mom, not gorgeous (never have been and I'm ok with that), charming enough to get asked out regularly by men at the nightclub where I work (yet somehow still single. Hmmm). I always thought it was because of my ever-present smile and great outlook on life, the men I talk to tell me it isn't because of that (rumour has it I've a great ASSet). BTW - nightclub gig is a part-time job, how I pay for the fun stuff.
I don't get to go out much because life is very busy for me but I do have fun. We only get to go around once and this is a pretty awesome adventure. I am happy and emotionally and financially stable. I'd rather be single forever than settle for the wrong man.
Most of the time I'm a fairly boring suburban single mom. I occasionally foray into long weekends at the lake in my ancient truck and more ancient camper, tubing by day, drinking and getting silly with a group of friends by night. I also love to find time to ride my bike (note: motorbike, not bicycle).
Life has dealt me a few blows (like it has you). I'm not afraid of much these days. Change is a good thing. Adversity makes us strong. I do have a talent for making people laugh. Sad part of the story is they're usually laughing AT me as opposed to with me, but at least I'm entertaining the troops.
I'm not a girly girl. I don't do lace, or pink. I'm really comfy in jeans and a t-shirt. I work in a man's world, and hold my own. I ride a motorbike, and have on occasion been invited to 'guy's night', cuz I can be one of the guys. I can give it, and I can take it. If that intimidates you: move on now. That said, I can also be very much a woman. I love being taken care of (don't we all?). I've always remembered Jackyn Smith's line from an ancient commercial "part of being a woman is knowing when not to be too much of a lady". Great line!
