| | I am a nurse in Athens who just graduated from the Medical College of Georgia. I like what I do, and this field is a career change for me. I plan to be a nurse for quite some time, and wish to further my education when I have a deeper sense of my calling.
In my spare time I enjoy getting outside and taking photographs of animals and natural scenes, and I like to do contemplative activities such as yoga. However, sometimes I just like to relax at home, and I am working toward being comfortable with that part of myself also. I love to go to movies in the theater, and I enjoy watching plays.
Things that I am good at include photography, writing, singing, audio voice-overs, and performing theatrical monologues. I am not a good dancer, but am willing to try from time to time, especially in the context of a good friend or romantic partner.
I love animals, especially dogs, and tolerate all forms of creatures. I am a bit afraid of spiders, but do not normally try to harm any living thing intentionally. My family is rooted in farming; we own and care for a number of cattle, and I help with this work on some weekends.
My friends and family would describe me as intelligent, conscientious, gentle, kind, helpful, quiet, and creative.
Because these qualities are not all that common in young men in our society, people tend to like me only after they have known me for some time. Most women that I meet feel that they would like to be my friend. I would like to get to know someone with a fun personality in a comfortable relationship that would help me open up and be myself.
I am quiet in groups and prefer to talk about others above myself. In a one-on-one relationship, I am a wonderful active listener, a gifted massage therapist, and a balm for your emotional self.
Again, I seek a woman who is kind, open-minded, intelligent, humble, and fun. Whatever develops from our friendship is up to us. |

For a girl that I do not know very well, I would probably go all out and as fancy as seems reasonable. I would start by getting my car ready by washing and vacuuming and putting a flower up on the dash.
I'd consider what to wear, but not obsess over it too much.
When I picked the lady up, I would smile nervously and ask her how she was doing, and I would ask her about her day. I would comment on her appearance also, as a gesture of courtesy. I would open her door at the car, and then take her out to dinner, where I would try to make her laugh and make pleasant conversation. I think that I would focus on her interests and needs on a first date. I would be very pleased to make her laugh in any amount. I love to see a woman smile naturally, from her heart. This makes me feel great about the way a date is going.
I like to do walks on first dates. I think that it is really nice to get out and go to Stone Mountain, or to a park, and pass the time by looking around and commenting on what is seen. I love sunsets, and would like to include this in any date. I would definitely make this a priority if she likes the idea.
I would probably end with a coffee or dessert shop. Movies are a possibility as well. I like to alternate periods of talking activites and entertainment on a date, like dinner-movie-coffee, so that neither she nor I feels pressured to reveal too much right away.
My manner on a date, as you may have surmised, are very important to me. I try to go "by the book" in this area. I believe in opening doors, paying for things, and being a gentleman. Women who reject this outright as an afront to their self-worth, and I'm not saying this has been a common occurence, do not gain my interest. I'm one who believes that chivalry is alive and well, and that it's practice communicates respect and caring, rather than being a judgment of a woman's ability to do something for herself, or a technique used to gain a payback. |
