This is a profile in the style of Dr. Seuss. I guess this is what happens when you read to your nieces all weekend!

Come in, please come in and read what I wrote

You can call it a post, or, an ad or a note

I will give this a try. I will screw up my brain

I have thought many thoughts can you follow their train?


To be truthful tis true as I think and I sort

That it is hard to tell all in a form oh so short

I will tell you about me, and do it darn quick

To garner your interest I am using this trick


So I write and I rhyme to make plain to you

Some of the what that is what and the who that is who.

Please do keep reading if this seems like some fun

Behold all the ways in which I make my brain run


Are you looking, I wonder, for a brash brawling guy?

That’s simply not me I‘m polite and quite shy.

That is not to say I can’t chat some good chat.

I jabber of this, and am an expert on that.


To laugh is divine, and to snicker is fun

Are you like me, an acerbic dry one?

They say eating apples keeps troubles away

For me I try to learn something new every day


What shall I choose next to lighten the mood?

To tell you the truth I would prefer it were food

From harissa to choy sum or a good rich creamy mash

Do you too want to know what’s in that Who Hash?


When I am not busy come find me and look

My nose very well may be deep in a book

It is funny I guess how I find what I need

When I sit and the sun and just read a good read


Do you like moving pictures am I on a good roll?

I like them so much I devour them whole

Be it action, or humorous or a horror type bent

If it is cleverly done my cents are well spent


Now you can see a sketch of me that is rough

But I know in this forum that is not quite enough

So now that you know I love both good eats and good books.

I know that you are wondering just what are my looks.


Nearly seventy three inches I have in my frame

And my eyes are blue like the zoo-koo-koo’s mane

My hair is light brown and my skins is quite pale

Red cheeks have I, like the xordilocks tail


I have to wear glasses, and have had to for years

They are boxy and black like a young Fleeble’s tears

Truth to be told, I am not thin and not reedy

I am afraid you will find me a little more meaty


That may not be as bad as it sounds.

I am about two hundred and twenty pounds

So yes it clear that I am not Mister lean

But in me there’s not a bone that is mean.


I am pondering here as I read this whole thing

If my words have a bit of a sugary ring

To be honest, and that is the best way to be

I am not sure that this style is totally me.


But I was just sitting and just happened to ask

If I am myself up to this taskingest task

Can I write like the Doctor am I such a man

Who can put down some nonsense and make it all scan?


So that is just me in the way that I said

I hope it was fun as you read what you read
