I am somewhat new to the LA and am incredibly happy here, but am finding that dating in this town is hard. If you are not 5'10, blond and 90lbs, a woman isn't even worth checking out, let alone giving a chance. I do not want to believe that is true, but it seems to be the case. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong places. but unfortunately, in the industry I work in, I see it all the time. I haven't tried internet dating, or taking it seriously before, but I know that I need to meet people outside my environment and I hope this might be one of the ways.

I am an attractive, strong female with a good heart. I have always loved the night club scene but realized a while ago that it’s not the best place to start a meaningful relationship. Even though I’m not ready for marriage (or maybe never will be), I am ready to have someone special in my life. I can offer you intelligence, humor, tenderness, honesty, fun, and my heart. I love dancing, movies, conversations, traveling, and dining out.



I’m looking for someone who has confidence and intelligence, for someone who has direction in his life but who still will “go with the flow” from time to time. He must also like animals. I love animals and have several. Finally, he must have a close relationship with his family, or at least have a level of respect for them. Family has been essential in my life, particularly my mother. It is my belief that family is a reflection of you and how you deal with them and relate to them is a statement of how you relate to everyone else.

I would love a guy to surprise me with something besides dinner and a movie (which is fine too). Maybe a trip to an amusement park/fair, or a walk along the beach. I like to do more active first dates too, like go for a hike or a bike ride. I do not believe that a first kiss should always occur on the first date either. It can happen in the first few minutes if the attraction is there or several dates later if the timing isn't right. A good kisser is essential to me too, so if he is a bad kisser, I would not expect the relationship to go much further, as I believe that the kiss is indicative of the kind of lover someone is. It is important that we are compatible.
