The best word to describe me would probably be polymath, or perhaps renaissance man to put a more romantic spin to the term. I'm looking for someone who comes from a different background from my own, hopefully with a different point of view to keep us both interested. If you don't live in my immediate area, that's fine, since I tend to travel a fair amount anyway.

We can get the usual items out of the way: I am gainfully employed, take care of myself physically, have all my teeth, and am not suffering financially. I am well-travelled, discriminating about food, and can generally find something positive about almost anyone. I can express myself well in several languages, badly in several more, and make horrendous puns in all of them. If you like dry/black humour, I will probably make you laugh, too. If you can teach me a new language, I will be very happy indeed.
I am not overly hung up on looks, but since I am an active person on occasion if you are a total sloth we are probably not going to get along. I seem to like shorter girls (or maybe they like me, whichever) but again I am not worried about it.

My non-career goals are to finish a CD of music I am writing, finish a book I am writing, and film a movie script I have written. That also pretty much covers my hobbies, except photography, which I just do whenever I feel like it. I promise I will not bore you with the details!

A few points so we can start off on the right foot. Things which I am not keen on are those who:
Ask much, but offer little in return.
Have no picture in their profile, or present pictures which do not present themselves clearly.
Are married and/or have children, and choose to lie about this fact.
Smoke or use drugs.
Have piercings and excessive tattoos.
Use MSN/chat speak. I like full sentences.

It will depend on how we connect. I would like to get to know you, so probably something involving talking. I am not much of a coffee drinker (tea for me!) but I do like to take walks.
