First, if you know what artist and song my headline comes from, you've scored yourself a few points already because you listen to country at least a little.

In all honesty, I'm a whole lot better in person than I could ever be in this little box. It's hard to get an idea of someone without actually meeting and/or talking to them.
Two things about me upfront:
1. I'll have you laughing your butt off about 10 minutes after we meet. I just look at things a little differently than most. Best example here is the Cubs/Sox thing. I find it funny (ironic?) that the same fans that are arguing, etc. about that in July will most likely be arm-in-arm in November cheering for the Bears.

I've always found that hilarious.
2. I get called "the nice guy" by just about everyone I meet, which is both a curse and a blessing. For all you ladies that say you're looking for "the nice guy", you've found one. Again, those are the words of others, not mine. And I leave stuff like that to others' determination. I'm just me, but I really don't have a mean bone in my body.
If you're still here, here's more of a snapshot of who I am:
-I grew up with 3 sisters and no brothers. They taught me to treat women the right way. If you're looking for a man to treat you badly, you've come to the WRONG place.
-I'll bring you a rose on the first date. To me, that's just common sense.
-I play golf left-handed even though I do just about everything else right-handed.
-People tell me I have a voice (and face; lol) for radio. I actually WAS a DJ in college. I did most of the voice-over work at the station. You could probably call me a bass in that regard.
-The name of my hometown in Illinois sounds like a bad strip club, Teutopolis, pronounced too-TOP-less (no joke!).
-Even better, our sports teams' nickname in high school was the Wooden Shoes (again, no joke!).
-Some of my pictures are old. I've lost about 60 lbs in the last 8 months. Not quite "a few extra pounds" but not quite "average" either, somewhere in-between.
-I've traveled extensively, including to Europe for 7 weeks last summer.
-I'm big on family, LOVE my 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
-I read a lot and my favorite book is "Brave New World" by Huxley. Great philosophical debate in the last chapter.
-Go Cubs!
What am I looking for? I'm looking for a woman to hang out with and have a decent conversation with. I read a lot, so I usually have a lot to talk about. Doesn't have to be a highly intellectual conversation necessarily, but just something other than the weather. :^) If you like sports even a little bit, we'll get along fine. (Bonus points if you know what a "tottenham hotspur" is- yes, it's sports-related.) I'm also a sucker for a beautiful set of eyes.
Anything else you'd like to know, just ask!
Something laid back and casual is ideal just to get to know one another. Maybe meet at a coffee shop or for lunch.
