I'd like to meet someone who is ready to work on a long term relationship. It takes work, and pays off high dividends. I was told recently that I am picky, I guess I am - in that I don't want to settle for Mr. Right Now, I am willing to wait for Mr. Exactly Right for Me. He is educated, literate, has a passion for life, respects a woman who has an opinion which she is able to defend, and still knows how to have fun like a kid.

Learning is an essential element of who I am - so I am often reading or going to lectures or conferences (related to work). You might find me curled up with a good book and cup of cocoa, or sewing. I know how to do calligraphy, play chess, and do fancy needlework. I found a way to combine these abilities and my interest in heraldry and history - in a Medieval/Renaissance history group.

I can play a decent game of chess, pretty good at scrabble, and real good at trivia type games. I have been caught playing WoW too. But I am not into drama and head games.

I don't drink coffee. I drink soda, tea, wine, and other things, but not coffee. I enjoy talking, finding out about you - your dreams, hopes, and joys. A meal at a quiet spot can let us get to know one another, though first dates definitely need to be in a public place. I would like for us to do something that we both find fun. I enjoy museums (the Getty - it's free), swap meets, and amusement parks. If the first date is a little different, and exciting that is a great beginning - be creative.
