Just where are the really important questions? Light or dark chocolate? How do you get toothpaste out of the tube? Over or under on the toilet paper? How often do you call your mother? Is coffee a drug? Do you have a dental plan? Conservative, liberal or other? Laundry--basket or floor?

I'm sort of kidding of course. I'm quite content with my life just as it is about 70% or 80% of the time. I live with a terrific cat on a nice street with a lake and an ocean nearby. I'm engaged in my community, with friends, and in my job so my life is active and happy. I love my family although none live close by. What I am missing is a little more fun and romance, some male energy to perk me up, hang with, accompany me, and if things go well, kiss lots and have great sex with and live more or less happily ever after. I've been keeping my eyes open but my small island doesn't seem to have the right guy for me in residence, either that or he's too shy to approach me!

I'm not really organized about exercising--too much like work. I am active but I'm no fanatic. I like to mix it up and swim, bike, kayak, yoga, hike--whatever strikes my fancy, and frankly these days I could use a little more fancy! I like sailing but don't get enough opportunities to be terrifically proficient at it and I don't think I'd like racing. Still, messin' about with boats is a lot of fun. I'm not really into watching sports on TV and would generally rather read a book than watch a game unless it's live.

I like live performance of any kind be it in a pub, a theatre, a club or festival setting, and have been involved in production work for a while. My musical tastes are eclectic, from jazz which I often listen to, to blues to world to rock to classical, but I can't listen for long to heavy metal or gangsta rap. I've been attempting to develop a taste for opera. Dancing is a joy. Guitars and campfires seem to go together. I'd usually rather rent a movie than watch TV.

Politically and socially I lean left. Economically I'd like to buy less from China. I like hot water and my car but do my bit to be environmentally supportive.

I have a quirky sense of humour, a creative bent, am good-natured, generous, compassionate, honest, reasonably intelligent, spiritually aware, resourceful, loyal, and affectionate. My style is casual though I'm told I clean up pretty good and appreciate the opportunity to do so from time to time. I have bad habits too--I tend to drive too fast, to procrastinate; I swear and I don't always eat well. I'm sure I have others but strangely just can't think of them right now.
