I am an educated professional who is a proverbial student and always enjoys learning new endeavors. I have a long reading list and always have books by my bed. from anatomy to zoology,including finance ,fiction and non-fiction, history,arts. do not like rap or top forty. jazz and opera are favs.

I am a realist who “has been there and done that”. Very aware of myself and the world and people that surround me. Reflective only to a point that is sufficient to warrant repeated epiphanies of my own and others immortality. Aware that time is the most precious commodity and gift that we possess and that to use it frivolously is an inexcusable sin.So you won’t catch me watching sitcoms when I do occasion to pay homage to the flourescent god. I admit to channel surfing for a select few programs. When I do it is a quick glance at CNN, the history channel,A&E, Discovery,the outdoor channel,Biographyand Bloomberg.

I enjoy time spent outdoors, bicycling, fishing, hiking, exploring and hunting. I have many other interests but certainly not enough time to become proficient or even nearly so in many of them. It would be wonderful to have a companion to complement activities like music and art and to learn from one another. Recently I have become interested in learning to ride Western-style in order to explore parts of the NW. However as yet is still just wishful thinking.

No matter what the activity having someone to share it with makes it all the more pleasurable. This is especially so when two people are on the same frequency. This is the basis of most long-term friendships whether they are male-male or female-female. Unfortunately many male-female relationships do not endure without the benefit of a friendship based upon mutual understanding at a deep and basic level. Obviously this is an opinion but one which I believe to be true and probably somewhere someplace there is another with similar belief.

I am convinced that I know myself quite well and I believe that that is a prerequisite to being happy and necessary to being happy with someone else.

My future is a picture book of a ranch or farm relatively remote but one which would offer the potential for a degree of subsistance living. Although I can be happy with myself and enjoy my own company to live alone in such circumstances would essentially relegate one to a life of a hermit. I have no desire to be a Robinson Crusoe and therefore it is more feasible to meet someone with a similar choice in lifestyle before venturing into the abyss, since the probability of encountering someone in a remote forest mountaintop or shoreline is almost nil. In short I look to the future.This may be an odd approach to finding a soulmate, but time is of the essence and in the process there is a possibility of meeting many interesting people and potential friendships.


Someone that would complement me and has time to travel, would be a perfect match.

First a phone date or two. Then a face to face over coffee or drinks at a bistro. Someplace to talk. Perhaps a walk in a scenic setting.
