Preface: What the hell is up with people? Everyone is like "I'm energetic, fun, driven.. know exactly what I want in life.." Everyone knows that stuff is crap. We're all screwed up, and we want to pretend to be something other than what we are. Honestly, if you know exactly where you are going in life.. you're probably very boring. Truth be told, I'm down in the dumps a lot. I don't know exactly where I'm headed in life, and sometimes I don't even want to face the day. I think that's a lot of us.. but we just can't be honest with ourselves or anyone else. Life can really suck sometimes, so that's all the more reason to find someone who makes it a little bit better and hold on to that person. I want to hear from someone like me.. screw all that fake stuff. In spite all of my flaws I'm a hell of a nice guy, and that should count for something. If this is strange or offensive to you, I probably don't want to talk to you anyway. Onward...

What's happpening? ;-) I'm a 30-year-old single man living in the KC area. I'm a very unique person. I'm originally from out of state but have been in Kansas for years. I'm a college graduate with a degree in Psychology. I have mostly done social service work like group home management and case management. I'm a people person in some ways, but I especially care about the "underdog." I'm the person my friends come to with their problems. I'm sensitive but not overly. I have a good idea what I want and won't settle until I find it. Right now I'm a case manager for a mental health agency. I work with the homeless. I like my job (usually), and I think that's very important. I dislike rude or pushy people.. that includes Lexux-driving, self-important, Johnson County yuppies. I like people who are down-to-earth but intelligent.

I'm looking for a person who is fun, intelligent, attractive, and understanding. I don't expect perfection. I know everyone has problems, but I'd prefer to find someone who is fairly stable emotionally and not carrying around so much baggage that it would interfere with a relationship. I'm sorry about whatever your ex did, but I'm a different person so don't take it out on me! I'm cool with just having fun, but I want more at this point in my life. I have no kids, but I'm willing to date someone with a kid, and I understand parenthood comes first. Marriage and having kids of my own are not priorities for me right now. I have enough to worry about in my own life.

I like to go out, but I'm cool with staying in too. Good conversation and deep thinking is a must! I'm not quick to jump into relationships, but once you win my affection I'm loyal and will do anything for you. So if you're looking for that perfect mix of a guy who is nice but has a backbone.. I'm your man.

Alright.. I know I said that I don't like rude people, but I might come off that way. I don't think it matters what I would want to do on a date, because I can't seem to get past the "god, this person is so boring" part of my conversations with people on here. Seriously, I don't expect much. Just take some initiative and talk about something. I can't stand all these people with their two word responses. This is why dating is frustrating. Have something interesting to say. How hard is it? Ladies.. not having a personality isn't sexy. I don't care what you look like if you're a moron. The brain is a sexy organ! Also, mediocrity sucks. Don't do that "I'm so dumb I must be cute" thing. You're NOT cute. Give me a G-damn break! And to the smart women out there.. you're welcome!
