If you need corrective glasses or you're at least a wee sight challenged then I’M GEORGOUS! The same type reasoning applies to your hearing and my singing.

The important people in my life, me and loved ones (they're mostly full of crap), think I'm attractive... but I'm not winning any prizes for it.

As for my love of sky diving and rock jumping – both those great joys in my life were (very) prematurely taken from me by my over-riding fear of “THUMP.” Alas, I love to hike around in the mountains and ponder the skies more than beat them into submission.

I'd like more. Not much more - just something solid, uplifting, reciprocal and enriching.

Something like more old movies, more time on Sunday afternoons, trips to New Orleans, wiener schnitzel, more flowers, need for conversation, the quiet ecstasy of embrace, of kisses, of loving, the elation of reaching out to another soul, the want to get deeper - to trust in that person more greatly so that we can allow ourselves to be more vulnerable, the vision of a future filled with family, but complete with each other, to build a dream and reach it together, Cake, the Cubs to win one, the perfect burger, a lower handicap, smaller belt size, more “A duck walks into a bar…” jokes, and a wee more music… to name a few.

I’ve had these in degrees; I’ve lost some 'cause I was an idiot and lost some to other's indifference or misgivings. I've lost a few to a chocolate addiction and a lot to a most un-healthy emotional dependency on the Chicago Cubs. So be it.

A dear friend often says “Everything happens for a reason and in the end its always the right reason.”

I don't buy into that to the letter – but - My “book of regrets” is empty.

My life at present? - "TaDa!" - I've lived a series of “TaDa”s and a lot of “Weeeee!” My daughter, friends, family, relationships, education have all blessed me. I'm a very happy aggregate of all their input (and pizza). I am very comfortable in my skin.

My daughter is my favorite person. I am often found with glazed eyes marveling at her tolerance, wit, creativity, enthusiasm for life, lack of fear and unconditional love. A grown-up version of those qualities will be ideal – in my life.

I work too much and love it. I do get my burger-luvin' butt on the bike a couple times a week - its a great release.

I love the Cubbies. I love the ballpark (any ballpark) and the pastoral soul of baseball. A ballgame, good company and the “beer guy” make for a perfectly stress-free afternoon and if done well - a great start to the evening.

I love to wander around, literally. Tahiti is lovely and there are points unknown that I’d love to wind up in. Still, to meander through the zoo, park, downtown, mountains… with no timeline and no particular destination is emancipation for me. See nutin’ but fun!

Hey’ I love a “full” night with the “gang”, event filled days and evenings with a date, and or (the typical) concerts, movies, festivals, weekend vacations… Its just every now and again… I want - nice and easy. That is most likely, true of everything.

Wines from all over, stinky cheese, good bread (d*mn I’m Maurice Chevalier!?)

iPod runs from Edith Piaf to Daddy Yankee, from George Jones to Fall Out Boy. Stevie Wonder still slays me, Aretha still won’t return my calls and Raul Malo remains the only person that can sing a fusion of Torme/Elvis/mariachi/big band/hillbilly and make you like it.

Heroes traverse from Maggie Thatcher (“coolest chick” ever) to MLK and Shakespeare to Placido Domingo and Bluto.

If you want to go to the ballgame, or grab a dinner, or a drink, golf, or just chat after work to see if we like each other, then lets do! Great things start simply.

Who do I want you to be? Dunno. If I could “build” the perfect partner - I’d be insanely wealthy and in the manufacturing business!
