I am a 36 year old optimistic (but totally sarcastic), hopeless romantic who's a tad bit cynical and a little overly sentimental. Yes, you can be all of those things at once without schizophrenia. All that, but I've got a heart of gold that I wear on my sleeve. Only half the people I let into my life take advantage of that. Guess that's not half bad.

I'm not good at summing myself up in a paragraph. I'd rather do it with wine. Lots of wine. Maybe with a cigar at a strip club like Tony Soprano or Denny Crane (kidding, juuust kidding!). I'm an average guy-well, maybe a lil eccentric at times... but in a good way. Stable professional at least as stable as anyone is in a job right now. I share my house with Levi the Jack Russell Terrier (UPDATE: I now also share my house with Bernie, the wirehair dachshund, named after Bernie Taupin (you get extra points for knowing who that is without looking it up. I like a good glass of wine (or beer, or Long island tea, or anything else!).. But I know when enough is enough. I like an occasional night out partying, but I need downtime too (not really as manic depressive as that sounds!). I work as a creative director (should that be Capital? Creative Director?? and roll the tongue on the R's) here in town... so I'm an artsy fartsy type. Also, trying to start back my fineart as a lil aside cash. Stream of consciousness: love * sing(badly) * swear * laugh * cry * smoke (only an occasional cigar) * play * dream & think. I am driven * ambitious * spontaneous * crazy. I'm sarcastic * awkward & rarely an ***hole. I'm a lover * rocker * thinker * reader * smiler * high five-er * and too romantic. Love makes me fearless & scared. I am smarter than you think...anything you can do i can do better. I can't help the way i act it's just me!... and yeah, sometimes I'm almost as ADD as this makes me sound! (oh, and love all music... but am a rabidly obsessive Elton John fan)

My ideal lady? An ideal date? It could be anything from coffee or drinks to dinner, a movie, and dancing. My perfect match has to be intelligent and welcoming of new insights. Be able to carry on a conversation about more than one subject! I'm a crazy liberal and she'd have to at least be able to tolerate the occasional rant about neo-cons and my circle of friends is very diverse, so you'd have to be able to accept that as well. I'm very tight with my friends. I've always had a soft spot for a hippie chick, but really, it's more of a soft spot for someone eclectic... someone with a strong self-expression. If your profile pict features you laying on a rebel flag or more than one picture of you on a 4-wheeler... uuh, we probably aren't a good match. I like to get out, but my idea of 'getting out' isn't driving a 4-wheeler through ass-deep mud with a PBR in one hand :-)
