I am grown now. It was tough but I made it lol. I enjoy the finer things in life like waking in the morning and seeing the ceiling. The essentials like a smile or kind word or an open heart. Looking forward to enjoying life and dancing (very) my time away. My 2 sons are grown, married and I am blessed with two lovely daughters in law and just recently a beautiful grandson and now twin boys so I am blessed three times. Both my sons live upstate and I like taking rides north to visit or get away. I have a good sense of humor and I am quite comfortable with myself. I also enjoy working out, 5/6 times a week, reading and listening to music. Looking for someone who shares some but not all the things I enjoy to allow for growth from both of us. Lots of smiles and laughter!! I have really started to enjoy cooking (make a mean applesauce)although I am not as proficient as I would choose to be. Trial and error are all I have to give in all of life. It would be nice to share the smells and fun of cooking together. I like going to concerts and plays. Great talk over a simple cup of coffee!! I dabble in poetry but haven't been too inspired lately to write. Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don't say it mean!
If I put enjoy in here too often it is because I am stuck on that word since love this and love that is a tad overused lol. If you have read this far please write and I will throw in a 9 by 12 area rug.... consider it a magic carpet ride. Enjoy the smiles ....

My first meeting would be a diner or coffeehouse and see if we can go from there...

I saw her there and took a chance, beckoned for a quiet dance,
Her eyes appeared unsure but kind, I hoped that she wouldn't really mind,
We talked in spurts as we graced the floor, oldies music -- memories galore,
Laughter filled as we shared our frails, relating of our common tales,
It was nice to hold her sway for a bit, to appreciate the way we nicely fit,
I took my leave in a most pleasant way, thanking her for hope that day,
A flicker of light is what we share, to make that connection we take a dare
We place our hearts in open space, to find that one to nurture our fate....
