Basic, genuine, open, honest, and reasonably funny man (I amuse myself if nobody else). I'm a retired Marine that's not into the "image" of being one... I don't define myself by my career, just by being me. What you see is what you get... I'm versatile, but I lean more toward being a Boy Scout in bad boy clothing. Or cowboy clothes. I'm complimentary, but honest. I'll admit it... I'm also kind of a closet geek, a BA in English with the goal of teaching it at the college level and writing professionally... when I grow up that is. It's cliche, but I'm definitely old enough to know better, and too young to care.

What I'd like to find: intelligent, adventurous, open-minded, sensual, uninhibited (within reason), and attractive wouldn't hurt. Remember the whole honesty thing? Looks DO matter... there has to be a spark physically to complete chemistry. I want someone that will excite me on a much deeper level than physically though--the person that I most want to say my last words of the day to, and the first person I want to see and talk with in the morning.

I'm happy with me... now it's time to focus on enjoying life. It could be fun to have someone to share some of that with. Hmmm...

First dates are usually so uncomfortable! How about a first acquaintance instead? Something simple, conducive to conversation and getting to see if there's chemistry. Then there's the potential for a date... but not trying to force things into something they're not right away. Relaxation and simplicity is key I think.
