I am a down-to-earth, happy, outgoing girl who is looking for someone who loves to laugh, who is easy-going, and who has a kind heart. There is no one "type" that fits the bill. Some qualities, however, that I find attractive are honesty, optimism, and an appreciation for all of the good things that life has to offer.

I'm a high school English and Cooking/Nutrition teacher, and I love my job. My students would describe me as "fun" (even though I suspect that they laugh at my jokes sometimes just to be kind!), and my colleagues and family tell me that they can't understand why a great guy hasn't already snatched me up. I just believe that I haven't met the right person yet and I don't want to settle. In the meantime, I'm enjoying meeting new people and seeing what life holds in store from there. For the sake of honesty up front, drug use and/or smoking are dealbreakers for me, and although I love kids, I am looking for someone who has no children (that they know of!) :)

Besides loving my job, I also love to cook. A great dinner with a glass of fantastic wine and I'm happy. I just enjoy the simple things in life: relaxing by a fire, watching intense summer thunderstorms, snuggling in front of a movie with someone special, or exploring the city and finding hidden gems. A cold October day apple-picking, snowy winter days at the cottage, and little drinks with umbrellas in them on a beach are all ways I like to spend my time.

The bar and club scenes have grown tiresome, so I thought I'd give this a try! If what I've described appeals to you, then drop me a line. I'd love to get to know you better. And hey, who knows, if it works out then we can worry about our "how we met story"!
