There’s a saying that “Time is the fire in which we burn”… That fire can be a warm glow or it can really sear you - the difference many times is the things we chose out of what life offers...

Four years ago my mother was ill and I spent a lot of long evenings at her house watching after her. She went to bed early most of the time and sometimes I would surf the net to pass the time. One night I ran across a match site, filled out the profile and uploaded my picture. That was four years ago, but the way time goes by it seems like yesterday. Since that night my mother has passed on and my kids are four years older. They don’t “jump on the bed” any more but as anyone who has children knows every year is unique and special in it’s own way... I read somewhere that between sleeping and working you only get eight hours a day to do what you want. Divide that a couple of more times by the things you do for other people and there’s about one hour really left for yourself. With that said four years is equal to about six months of “real time” – ya think? Anyway I found all the match pictures I put up the last four years and put them all together side by side just for fun. The last one I took this morning when I woke up with wild hair and wrinkles for a reality shot - whoa... So if you’re still here, here’s my profile…


I enjoy playing music, playing soccer, love children, like animals, enjoy being outdoors, and enjoy doing things together with the right person, which to me is more important most of the time than what you’re doing anyway… Family is number one on my list. I’m a good listener and enjoy conversation with just about anyone. I attend church regularly and believe all things happen for a reason.

My ideal lady would be one who can lend that special woman's touch to things... she actually enjoys conversations and has a sense of humor that would probably keep a guy on his toes... along with the fact that she sincerely loves children... and lets them jump on the bed sometimes... and has the courage to stand up for her beliefs when she’s challenged - which can make her a little fiery at times - but not too often, because what she really likes is to just treasure her day when she can... and maybe on some evenings she might even like to dance slow and close with her special someone when she hears her favorite song on the radio mixed with the hum of the dishwasher...and just maybe she would bring her best friend a glass of iced tea on a really hot day along with a warm smile...

A first date would depend on who YOU are. If you like to sing karaoke so do I. If you prefer to sit and chat I would love to hear what’s on your mind!
