I want to be upfront about a few things if we have a good date or a few. I WILL NOT do the following:

-Tell you that I love you.
-Ask you to marry me.
-Suggest that we move in together.
-Expect to see you every night and or weekend.

Ladies, I have heard the horror stories and this will not happen with me. I am not against any of these situations mentioned. I just believe they may only happen over a period of time, not after a few dates.

Now just a little backround information. I went to school in Manhattan and earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice. I am currently considering graduate studies but in a different field.

Are you still reading this? Hopefully the answer is yes. I am just as comfortable wearing a suit and tie as wearing jeans and a tee playing with my eight year old niece. Am I completely true to my birth sign? The answer is no.I am not vain, bossy, or set in my ways. However, I am confident, decisive, self-motivated, ambitious, romantic and very loyal. At times I can be a total goofball and not take life too seriously. More importantly, I am emotionally secure and capable of functioning in a relationship. Able to communicate effectively and express my thoughts and feelings.

I am also self-sufficient (cook, clean, and even know how to do laundry-not bad huh?). When it comes to going out, I am very good at planning but also flexible enough to be spontaneous. My family and friends know that I am reliable. When I say I am going to do something, it gets done.

I like to spend time in Manhattan but I'll go just about anywhere for the experience. Also, I enjoy being outdoors (just recently I was hiking in Utah)but staying home with someone special is just as good. I am open minded and easy going so any activity can be turned into a fun experience with the right company.

I enjoy cooking, going to the gym,playing raquetball and various outdoor activities. I also enjoy watching documentaries (big fan of the Discovery Channel and National Geographic)and most shows on HBO(The Wire and Curb Your Enthusiasm are some favorites). Just recently I began a new hobby-photography and I had a great time taking pictures in Utah. My goal is to become good enough so that I can freelance but I will not be quitting my day job.

I enjoy watching the Yankees and Giants. As for music, my interests are diverse.I like classical, alternative, R&B, hip-hop. If you enjoy watching Dave Chappelle, Carlos Mencia and Louis Black, that is a plus. If not, that's ok.

Now, what am I looking for in a potential partner? This is simple-please be emotionally secure and know exactly what you want.Sharing some common interests is obviously a good thing but I also enjoy learning about a person and developing new insight and interests. If you are into "serial dating" or just like the fact that someone is pursuing you then I am not the guy for you.

Assuming that we "click" after a phone conversation or two, maybe we can take a walk through Central Park and then have lunch at a cafe. This is relaxing and it would be a nice way of getting to know each other a little better. Afterwards, we can continue to take advantage of all that Manhattan has to offer but it may be fun just to figure it out as we go along. Winding down at a lounge such as Madame X or LeCaire(both have an excellent vibe)may be an option. However, if you have a favorite place, I am up for it. I am flexible (not literally-some injuries have finally caught up with me..lol) so if you are more comfortable getting together for a cup of coffee, that is fine with me.
