Well now that I'm going into my second month here at POF - it's becoming apparent that many folks are a wee bit gun shy. With my corresponding with different women a common theme has arisen. Dishonesty and the ‘one thing on the mind’ syndrome is apparently the biggest challenge facing those trying to find their soul mate. (Of course those of you that are into quickies – this is not intended for you).

Well ladies I have a full proof method that will save many of you from heartache. You may not get as many first dates but I can assure you – you will get more first dates that will lead to a second and a third.

Wouldn’t you like to siphon off those dates that show up looking nothing like their picture? Would you like to filter out Mr. Octopus? Do you want to shorten the length of time it takes to get to meet someone? Finally – do you want to see if the person is really into you – for you?

Simple… You have been corresponding with someone you are interested in. Either he suggests meeting you or if you’re really interested be aggressive and suggest to meet. Be completely honest and let them know that you want to meet for a cup of coffee or maybe a drink. It’s got to be somewhere in public and anything that will not take a long time. Forget dinners, shows and anything else that ropes you into a horror session. In fact – what I do is I put a 30 minute limit on the meeting. I’m very specific about that. And I am quick to say – its best and fair for the both of us!

This is a full proof method to ensure the sincerity of all parties. I can assure you that if both of you ‘click’ – 3 hours will pass and it will feel like 10 minutes. Anyone that has dishonorable intentions will not agree to such a meeting. Ladies this also saves you from having to put in the extra effort to get ready. In fact, if you can set this up during lunch from work – all the better – you’ve already prepared for the day – what the heck!

I've been getting more responses to my questions which is a good thing. The process has been educational, revealing and at times surprising.

Okay - I've gotten a few responses to my remarks about 'browsing' and 'etiquette'. One in particular made the light bulb go ON so...

In reading many of the profiles (women) - I find many concerns about so called 'players'.

Like shopping - one looks around and if one sees something they like - they buy. Evidently my picture gets women to at least review my profile. Not getting many responses has now led me to believe that maybe it's my message?

That leads me to my next point. If a player would it not behoove me to "pledge my undying love" in my profile? Wouldn't it make it easier to get my way if I say looking for my one and only? I know I'm exaggerating but I hope you get my point. By the way this section is supposed to be about the person not necessarily what one is looking for.

So as an update to my profile... I'm a sincere man with honorable intentions.

And ladies I believe we can all agree that men are different from women. Remember men are from Mars - women are from Venus...

Though this may not be true in all cases - most men who are searching for their soul-mate don't rush through life with blinders on with the sole purpose of finding that perfect one. Our approach is a bit more casual (at least on my part).

I refuse to settle. The first time cost me too much money! He-he-he... Hence the reason why I selected 'dating' as to what I'm looking for by joining this site. Being the utmost optimist - if by chance while dating I find the proverbial chemistry and it is mutual - then we will take it from there.
