INSANITY: Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results! TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

My profile is detailed since I don't want to waste anyone's time by not letting you know up front who I am, what I'm about, and what I'm NOT about! I'm not here to impress or lie to anyone; I am who I am, plain & simple! I'm not without flaws, but I try to learn from mistakes and be a better person each day. I recently changed my "status" to dating since I don't want an instant long term relationship after 1-2 dates; it takes time to get to know someone!

Mom raised four kids on her own, taught us to be courteous & kind, and to be decent in how we treat others! Basically what this means is that I reply to every person who writes, whether I feel a connection or not. There are too many nasty, arrogant, self centered people in the world these days, and I do my best to NOT be one of them (I'm not always successful, but I do try).

Friends describe me as a normal, fun loving, quirky, and very down to earth person with tangible qualities! I'm a bit shy at first (if I've checked out your profile but didn't write, that could be why!), but once you get to know me you'll quickly see that I'm very sincere, genuine, passionate, compassionate, funny, respectful, personable & not a snob at all, kind, selfless, yet sometimes a little stubborn in my beliefs & convictions! More spiritual than religious...

My interests and passions are varied, and include a very deep love of music; though I'm a rocker at heart, I love everything from KISS to Black Sabbath to Dream Theater to Journey, Andrea Bocelli to Josh Groban to Enya to Sarah Brightman, Elton John to Frank Sinatra to Billy Joel to Elvis Presley, Bach to Vanessa Mae to Chopin, B.B. King to The Black Crowes, and Led Zeppelin to The Stones! NO RAP CRAP (I said that I love MUSIC, right?!?).

I enjoy photography & sunsets, like to cook and love great food (Italian is my favorite, comes from being... you guessed it, Italian)! Taking in a great movie & ice cream, coffee & conversation, live music, festivals & theme parks, flea markets, mom & pop breakfast nooks, fall/winter getaways in New England (originally from CT), or just kick back on the couch and cuddle with a good movie all rank high on my list of favorite things, and so much more I haven't yet done are on my "to do" list.

I'm very grateful for my life today, and can't express enough gratitude for all of my past, both good AND bad, since it's helped me become the person I am today and as I continue to grow towards being a better person! It also helps in how I treat others, and the ability to handle day to day situations that life deals me!

I'm kind of "old school" when it comes to relationships, and I love to hold hands, kiss, the usual! I hope to find a person interested in a relationship with romance, laughter, trust, & understanding. My wish is to find someone who is attractive, height/weight proportionate, personable, selfless, caring, funny & fun loving, passionate, a good kisser, and down to earth! Recent pictures are appreciated, not ones from 10-20 years ago; mine are all from the last year or so!

"Someone that you don't even know exists loves you"! I guess that quote is what keeps me optimistic that the woman who brings out the "I'm the luckiest guy in the world" feeling is out there for me. And as much as I hope to find that "special someone" in my life, at the very least I'd like to make some new friends; if it's meant to happen it will...


DISCLAIMER SECTION (they're everywhere; you just can't seem to escape 'em these days)

I. - I'm not here for a long, drawn out "online" romance with never ending chat & emails! I understand & respect the need to chat a bit due safety concerns, but "online only" romances just aren't for me!

II. - I speak very good English and consider myself to be an ed-u-ma-cated dude! So anyone throwing around those ridiculously STUPID "gang signs" with a thug like pout in your pictures, or those phonetically challenged with a knack for using words like "aaaiiight", "dogg", "chill", or any other thug words, "PEACE OUT, YO"! Not my type, wuuuuuuuurd.........

III. - I don't condemn drinking, but if the majority of your pictures are in bars or with a drink in your hand, I'm pretty sure we won't mesh!

IV. - If the word "DIVA" appears in your profile, your "Ken" awaits you elsewhere, "Barbie"! I think it's pretty vain to tolerate being treated like crap just to have a "Ken" doll on your arm, but hey, who am I to judge, right?!?

V. - For those who are more interested in how much I make, what I drive, my material possessions, or who I know and/or can introduce them to: I can say with absolute certainty WE WOULDN'T BE COMPATIBLE!

VI. - It makes me laugh when women complain about men who post shirtless pics, pics of their sports cars, boats, and whatever else they can to impress the ladies! I can't tell you the number of profiles with women posting pics of their boobs hanging out, or in their bikini with their asses hanging out, or whatever it is they do to impress the male "studs"! Put your private parts away, boobs & all, and show me that you're a real lady; if it get's to that point, I'm pretty sure I'd get to see them anyways!

This "disclaimer" isn't meant to be rude. It's been written to help those who wouldn't understand that I'm not interested in vain, shallow, self centered people because I believe there's more to life & relationships than materialistic greed and status!

A first date should be an opportunity to get to know one another & could be anything, anywhere; so long as it gives us the chance to talk without too many distractions!

Walk along the beach around sunset, or some good conversation over coffee or ice cream will tell us if that warm fuzzy feeling & chemistry is there or not, to see if we share common interests and to find out if something more than the physical attraction is there!
