I have two kids, that are grown. They are still very much a part of my life. I work full time, don't make a lot of money but I get by. I'm not a gold digger, and not judgemental. I do have very strong opinions, but I'm not the type of person who requires your opinions to be the same as mine. I'm down to earth, with high morals, just a regular person. I like my life, and am happy with it, but would like to find someone special to share it with.
I'm past all the partying days, don't hang out at all the local bars. I don't drink, but don't care if you have a drink sometimes. I'm not a jealous person, and don't tolerate jealousy well at all. I am very outgoing and friendly person, however I believe when a person is in a commited relationship, they should be loyal and faithful to that other person. A relationship is about trust, and respect, as much as love. I can give that, and would have to receive it as well.
Yes I do smoke, and No I won't quit smoking for you...if I ever decide to quit smoking it will be for me, not to keep a man.
No I'm not a stand up comedian, and wouldn't want you to be. It's fun to laugh, and I have fun with my life, but at the same time life is not one big joke. I want someone who can see and accept ALL areas of life, not just the funny part...does that make sense? I don't want to come off as a big old prude, but all I see on these profiles is "I can make you laugh, I can keep you rolling with jokes" etc etc etc....sorry but I want a REAL man. Some one who can handle the everyday problems of life (without going into a total meltdown), as well as the fun side of life.
If you are looking for Miss America the beauty queen, or a Playboy Bunny....you won't find that here. I'm normal. My body's not perfect, my hair is not perfect, my home is not perfect...but it's mine. If you claim to be Mr. Universe, and do the total body workout 12 times a day....oh well, we just weren't meant for each other...in other words, if YOU are perfect then we shouldn't waste our time.
I would like to find someone to become friends with first, and if it builds to more, I'll be okay with that. If it doesn't then we haven't lost anything.
I'm very blunt and outspoken, but can use good manners while I do it. I'm also a very kind and caring person. I'm not into a lot of sports...no, I'm not a nascar fan...but you can be and it won't bother me a bit. I don't play golf, don't ride motorcycles,don't watch football on t.v. (however I DO like going to the high school games!) But if you want to watch a game, or play golf that's great. I'll go to some yard sales while you do what you like, then we can meet up back at the house and have a cook out for supper. Hey, if you ride a bike, it's okay! Just not a requirement for me to go out with you! I'm really very easy going.
I clean up pretty good, can dress up or down and be comfortable...rub elbows with the best of them at the company convention or office party...the next morning I'll put on my jeans and go to the river to fish with you, or mow the yard. And would love every minute of it!
Yes, I am educated, yes I have a brain, yes I can carry on a conversation. I can also be goofy and fun, strong yet feminine, passionate, determined, and headstrong. I take care of my responsibilities first, know how to prioritize, but have been known to take off on a spontaneous trip to the mountains, or maybe end up on the riverbank fishing all day by myself. (You can go if you want!)
I love my job, am very dedicated to what I do there. If we get to know each other I'll tell you more about it for sure.
I spend a LOT of time in my yard, partly because it's a big yard and requires a lot of work, but mostly because I just love to do it. It's fun. I love to be outside, love to work with flowers and plants, love nature. I hate going shopping, but if I go you can bet most of my shopping time will be spent in the lawn and garden department! I like to work on things around the house, and I'm always coming up with little projects to do. Now if YOU don't like to do those types of things, it's okay, just let me do it and don't fuss. If you DO like to do those types of things, then let's do them together and have fun with it!
I know this is really long, and if you've stuck with me long enough to read it all, that's a good sign. I've put off writing all of this for a while now, it's Sunday morning and I was sitting here drinking my coffee, and decided it's about time to take care of it. Basically, if you are okay with who you are, and you think you can be okay with who I am, then send me a note and we'll go from there.

If it gets to that point, we'll think of something both of us would be comfortable with, where we can actually talk and get to know each other.
