I adore my kids but need some adult conversation. Looking for some fun and to get back into a dating routine to find an LTR. Young acting professional, a bit of a loner so it takes a bit to drag me out of my safe zone, but I'm loyal and loving. I spend a lot of time on the computer for work. I like lazy days at home, seeing new places, walks on the beach, Disney. Not into sports, although the Pats game was worth watching. I like philosophy and like talking about and debating life - politics, religion: you know, all the things you're not supposed to talk about on a first date. I am a novice scuba diver and like boating with a purpose (scuba, snorkeling, fishing).
I keep hearing "I'm tired of meeting immature or crazy men", well I'm tired of trying to get through the static and bad vibes they generate.
I'm a well grounded, family oriented, considerate, romantic guy.
I'll get the scary stuff out of the way so we don't waste each other's time... I'm living with 3 of my kids, the 4th is on her own (20). They're 9, 11 and 15. I'm not a sports fan, We're Jewish, although we don't practice or go to services, just look at it as a family heritage and tradition. It's ok if you have a different religion. I'm pretty confidently atheist. And, I'm conservative politically - too much so to be happy about John McCain.
If you're still reading, I like jazz and 'adult alternative' music, a walk on the beach or around an art show and spending time with our family which are all here within an hours drive.
I'm happy with where we are in life (the kids and I are really a package deal, as I expect you and your kids would be), but I miss having a best friend to share the good and bad moments with, the emotional intimacy, an activities partner.
I'm looking for a woman who is fun loving with a keen sense of humor. Someone independent who will tell me unabashedly about what they do and what they want out of life, that they try hard and will learn something new when the need arises instead of whining that they 'can't do it.' Someone who will not be shy talking about what they like... and don't.
For a first date I would want something simple where we could spend time talking... a walk on the beach, coffee at a coffee shop.
