Here is a snapshot:

~I like to learn, hang out with friends, spend time alone, cook, entertain, read quietly or listen to music.

~ There is always laughter and the sounds of animated behaviour sailing out through my windows or over the fence when entertaining. Boring is for other people!

~ For me, it's the people not the places.

~I will always open my doors and make room at my table for people at least once. If we are from different planets or we just don't do anything for each other, I won't be rushing to invite them again. Life is too short for bad conversation/socialisation. It doesn't make sense to have an OK time when you can have a great time.

~Although actions are important, I'm more concerned with the motivations behind them.

~Cooking or preparing food is an almost daily ritual, this is usually accompanied with the appropriate beer or wine.

~I tend to be passionate and find joy in delving deeply into things. While not consumed with sensual pleasures, I do tend towards sensualism. I feel that our senses should be used to enrich our lives through the enjoyment of our surroundings.

~I love to dance but will only do it if I'm moved by the music.

~Lewd, silly or witty jokes make me turn red with laughter.

~I enjoy the simple things e.g. taking a few minutes to watch the sunset can make my evening, or a summer day in the backyard, gardening and hanging clothes makes me feel complete. Preparing a kick ass meal with appropreite wine and a fire would top off that summer day.

~I spend a fair amount of time with my family and will usually see extended family every couple of months for birthdays etc. My parents and grandparents get visits from me at least every two weeks. Also, hanging out with the guys is a weekly event!

~Doing "my own thing" and exploring whims keeps me young and energized. Some recent whims have been the Thundercats, Classic Soul(especially Curtis Mayfield), Monster Magnet and 70's Funk. Latest would be exploring classic beers and brewing styles.

I don't have a wish list, this is an "about me" section. Although, I would like to meet a somewhat secure / balanced, down-to-earth, non-pretentious person that loves to have some "balls to the wall" fun! Bonuses would be being passionate about: food, drink, friends and family, music and artisitic expression; intelligent but eager to learn new things and teach me new things.

Lastly, “pique” is a French word meaning “prick”!!

It would depend on the person. I've put down long term, realizing that you first have to date but am not looking just to go out on dates as a form of entertainment.
