I'm Deegan. I'm a tall guy about 6'9" to be exact. I'm genuine would be the best way to describe me. I work hard for what I want and have plenty of goals to reach throughout my life. I want to become a published author, I want to become an English teacher and share classics with kids, I want to travel the United States and see everything I can, I want to star in an independent film...and direct it, I want to write for a comic book hero, I want to have kids and a family, I want to support them. I know who I am, now I think it's time that the world knew.

I am an introvert by nature that is trying to become an extrovert. I love to talk to people and get to know who they are. I walk down streets at night thinking of the days events and what led me to that point. I am not a small man whatsoever but would like to become lighter. I try to eat right but don't always get to because of time constraints, so those walks help me in multiple ways.

I look at life optimistically, the cup is always half full. Cynicism is nothing more than a joke to me and I laugh in its face constantly. Once was told I couldn't do something and did it. When I was playing the trombone in my high school's jazz band, we were headed to the state finals a couple of weeks and had trouble playing this one set of 32 bars. No one thought that we could pull it off because we had been playing the same three songs for months but every time that we got to that one section something always sounded wrong. My music teacher told us that it would be changed into a saxophone solo. I fought for it and made a deal that if we could play it by finals that he would change it back. About 10 7-hour rehearsals later we were playing it in front of the state judges. We won best trombone section as well as took home the gold so to speak that year.

I'm full of humor and laugh at everything I can, including myself. If I couldn't smile to myself then my world would become a bit dimmer, but I do and the world is as bright as ever. My closest friends and I love to joke around with each other. We affectionately, to each other, are known as the mastermind family. My friend Brian is the Mastermind, my friend Matt is the Moneymaker, and I am known as the Mystery Man. Some of my other friends question as to why I'm the Mystery Man. It's because no one knows what I will say next. Whether it be a random quote from a favorite television show "Wedding is defined in the dictionary as a melding of two metals with a hot torch", to something so completely out there that I don't understand how I came up with it "I'm on Deegan"

I have a family that I love and cherish with all of my heart. Mom and Dad took care of me for so many years that I can't repay them, I have two younger sisters that I am very proud of. One plays basketball for TCNJ and is majoring in psychology and the other one is about to take her LSATs to get into law school. I don't have many friends but the few that I do have are my second family, the mastermind family and a few others. I hold each of them close because they are some of the best people that I have met.



I feel as though I am missing someone to fit right next to me though. To be my equal. I want to meet someone who is like me. Someone that loves to talk about everything. I want to take those late night walks with someone. I want someone who is caring and gentle. I would like someone who has some of the same interests as me but can also share their own with me as well. Someone who will let me share some of mine with them.

A first date is more about getting to know someone so while a walk in the park sounds nice, a walk in a museum sounds better. Maybe going to an arcade and being playful would be on the agenda. There is an awesome jazz club that I know of that we could go to and dance the night away. As long as it's somewhere that we can get to know each other.
