You'll want to talk to me because I'm anything but ordinary. ;-) I break many of the conventions of a typical man (and this has been validated by many). I'm a confident soul, but certainly not arrogant ... not at all my style.

However this profile is to help you understand what makes me different than all the others and since I'm looking for a very unique person, I'll be straightforward. What makes me so different? Let me share some of the comments I've heard from others which I feel distinguishes me ... "you're one of the most intelligent and articulate people I've ever met", "you have such a warm smile and expressive eyes", "you are a fantastic conversationalist and listener", "I've never known a man with more passion for life than you" and "you always make me laugh so much!" These statements give you just a brief glimpse into who I am. :-)

I'm also well-educated and traveled, yet well-grounded due to my Midwestern upbringing. Balance is important to me, but I also love to be spontaneous and silly! I like to stay fit, travel, cook and enjoy the outdoors. I'm also very much an adventurous spirit -- left my successful job a few years ago to start my own company focused on adventurous activities, and have really enjoyed the experience!

I'm one of those rare people who can really truly find enjoyment in any activity ... live music, sporting event, wind surfing off of Hawaii, and on and on ... there's not much I won't try or at least be willing to experience. I look for strong communication and connection in all my relationships and I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I'm also down to earth and open-minded.

I want to find someone who can match my zest for life ... someone who enjoys being the best she can be for herself and for her significant other. Simply put, I want to find someone who can match what I have to offer to her in return.

I seek a woman who is sophisticated, active, diverse, creative and mature. I want to be able to respect her opinion and values, and she should be able to surprise me with her humor, wit and intelligence. Much like me, she wants to find ways to use her talents and abilities to give back to the world. She also should believe it's important to have a fit mind and body. I'm looking for the one special woman who can match me; I know it will take a unique person to fit all of these criteria, but I am confident she is out there!

First dates are limited only by what two people believe are possible. Dinner at Tavern on the Green? Fly to Chicago to take in an art exhibition? Go for a run along the river?
