While I didn't expect to be in alone again at this point in my life, I've decided to treat it as a new opportunity. I'm patient and understanding (to a fault, hence my current predicament) and always try to find an agreeable compromise that lets both sides get what they want. In my off-time, I devote myself to my garden and home, but try to find time too for cycling, walking and just being out in the world. I will admit to being a little addicted to the online lifestyle, but it really doesn't take much to distract me from it. I once used this medium to find a partner and persued it quite vigorously but this time around I think I'll just sit back, relax, and see who is interested in me for a change. I have many other things to do around here to keep myself busy and I'm quite sure your mailbox is always full of 'offers'. So I leave it up to you.

Until this question came up, I realized that I hadn't even thought about what I would suggest to someone that we might do on our first 'date'. I had in the back of my mind someone just showing up at my door, or finding an address and knocking nervously on the door, and realize that that would probably be considered to risky a proposition these days. Of course I might be confusing a first date with a first contact/meeting and that the second scenario would either end up becoming a date, or more likely be the litmus test for initiating one. I would truly enjoy going out for some public entertainment where we could relax, enjoy the show (professional or just people watching) and talk about anything. All in all just a low key, relaxed atmosphere where we could start to find out about each other a little better. This would definitely be a casual event, hopefully leaving us both looking forward to our next get together.
