Sometimes good guys don't wear white. I have very little white in my wardrobe, but just about anyone who knows me will tell you I'm one of the good guys. Not in like a superhero sense... What kind of a dude would sign up for a dating site dressed in spandex and a cape anyway? I'm sure there are sites for that out there but I really hope this isn't one of them.

I'm an honest and hardworking person. I don't mooch off of my friends, I make my own way. I'm very independent. I have a great career and I put a lot of time and effort into furthering it, but I'm certainly no workaholic. I like to spend as much time having fun and enjoying life as I can. Memories are not made sitting at a desk staring at a spreadsheet and pecking away at a keyboard, and I want as many good memories as my head can store.

Some random things about me... I have a good sense of humor and I love to make people laugh. I'm all over the map on humor, sometimes sarcastic, occasionally ironic, other times satiric. My humor is displayed best in my writing. I can have a good time at home, but I generally like to go out when I have free time. I have many hobbies and interests, some would say too many, and I am always interested in learning about something new. I am an extremely reliable person, and I prefer to surround myself with reliable people. I do work out and take care of myself and I am still working towards my goals in that area. I have a huge music collection and I always have music playing in my truck when I'm out. I like many different styles of music and I have a little bit of everything in my collection. I love being downtown in any city, and I have no idea why that is. I grew up in the country, and I've spent most of my adult life in the city. I can be comfortable in either setting.

I'm pretty easy to get along with. I have many friends from many different, often completely unrelated circles and walks of life. Unfortunately, there always seems to be a shortage of single ladies in these circles, so that's why I'm giving this a shot.

What am I looking for?

A girl who is: optimistic, open-minded, honest, fun, kind to others, reliable, feminine, attractive, thin or average body, between 20 and 28. A similar sense of humor is a must.

A few other things...

I am crazy about girls with nice hair. If you have nice hair it is a huge plus in my book.

I am a pet person. I have a black lab who means the world to me, so I hope you like dogs too.

I'm perfectly fine with a girl who has her own opinion on things, but I don't like bossy or controlling women.

I want a woman who does not try to play games with people's heads or try to manipulate others. That is the biggest turnoff for me.

This girl has got to have some decent dental hygiene going on. To say that I am unimpressed with teeth that share a shade of yellow with a slightly ripe banana is an understatement most severe. Banana teeth. Yikes. Now that I think about it, overall hygiene is a must.

I prefer to take things slow and not rush into anything.

You know, I could come up with this big elaborate thing to put here. Something that's just insanely meticulous and complicated and maybe someone would find it romantic. Maybe. In my opinion, it would distract us from the purpose of a first date: to get to know each other. To be honest, I generally prefer something simple, maybe lunch or dinner at a restaurant, coffee shop, and if it's nice outside we could go for a walk at a park or around a quiet area of the city. I'll save the fancy dates for later.
