To get this out of the way my name is Gordon.

I am a happy go lucky sort of guy, I'm incredibly empathetic, ambitious and gregorius. This is not to say that I do not take my responsibilities seriously I do, I just have a good amount of patience and am confident in my ability to work problems out.

I consider myself well read, I've literally read thousands of books mostly on political philosophy, social theory, activist lit, and history.

I also have exceptional taste in music. I prefer Alternative Rock, Fem/Anarcho Punk and Baroque Era classical music but to be honest I am so familiar w/ music that I can appreciate anything really. I am trying to learn to sing and play the bass, I just havent had the time lately to commit to that. My passion right now is learning how to club dance, I utterly loathe the nonchalance of the club scene but if I have to go I want to learn to dance.

I am a poet mostly I think, but I am trying to pen a novel. I attend at least three readings a week. On my free time I help angsty teens channel their chemically imbalanced feelings into poetic genius; I am so proud of them (they won a poetry slam in Sask.) I also have a residency as poet at steeps tea lounge by the University.

On a average week I like to go see a movie and try a new restaurant
every two weeks I like to try amusement centers, museums or maybe a Oilers game
once a month I try to go for to see a symphony, ballet, rock show, opera or something like that
and twice a year I love to go camping. :D

Some of my other minor hobbies include reading (I try to read at least 10 books a mo.)Sports, Cooking (esp. Asian/Italian Fusion), Karaoke Bars, and trying to make myself a better person.

I take a lot of pride in my commitment to my Church, the Communist Party, and my Scottish Heritage. I do whatever I can for them such as volunteering at conventions, donating funds, studying and advocating certain ideals even the occasional Activism when need be.

As for work I am a roofer, it's hard sorta filthy work but good money. I am thinking of getting a second job or joining the army reserve but so far I'm content with just being a roofer. Well until I saved enough for Bible College.

I am thinking an open mic. Organic indie cafe, maybe one or both of us contributing to the open mic. Over coffee and something.
