Friends would describe me as humorous, jovial, honest, intelligent, devoted, and trustworthy. My travels have taken me across this country (from San Diego to Portland, Maine, from Miami to Seattle), into Mexico (the Yucatan), Canada, Martinique, then 'across the pond' to Italy (Florence, Venice, Pisa), the Czech Republic (Prague), Poland (Crakow, Poznan, Wroclaw), and Germany (Berlin). I have a warm and tender heart that is--I admit--quite discerning. But once I love, that love is deep and as forever as you will embrace.

Amongst the character and personality traits I am looking for in a woman are (and I don't expect any one person to have ALL these qualities) a joyful spirit, friendliness, warmth, good-heartedness, affectionate, sensual, and a heightened capacity for caring. She will be non-judgemental (my way or the highway types will not work with me) and open to the ideas of others, respecting their opinions even if she disagrees with them. Less important, but qualities that would be great to include: cultured, intelligent, fun-loving, spontaneous, interested in travel. She would prefer to spend a week camping in the Southwest or the Florida Keys than in a 5-star hotel (Oh don't despair, there will still be the occasional 5-star hotel ;-). She would choose to live in a cozy bungalow over a McMansion (the bungalow will still be plenty stylish). She would rather go to a $$$ restaurant with superb food, than a $$$$$ restaurant with major attitude.

Conversation, Chemistry, Coffee or Chianti (any wine will do, I'll be drinking a dry red). I'd like it to be an environment that is neither too formal nor too casual. Soft lighting or even candelight would delight. I would want both of us to feel at ease, to act naturally and not feel as though we had to hit the highest notes of chemistry and conversation that first evening. A second glass of wine or cup of coffee would be a sign that we had moved past those introductory jitters into potentially beginning the process of discovering each other.
