I would describe myself as laid back, broad minded, loyal and humble. I was raised in a culture of thrift and common sense and sometimes feel out of place in today's materialistic society. I'll not blow anyone away with my physical appearance but I do the best with what I have. Those that know me best would probably describe my mental acuity, sense of humour and breadth of life experiences as my most attractive traits.

Lately I've been working summers in Canada and travelling during winter. The warmer climates of South America are a welcome respite from the long Canadian winters - but I do miss the ski trips. My goals are more personal than professional; I don't define my life through my work, and I have few financial concerns. I have lived on 3 continents and travelled extensively throughout 3 others. But now I would like to settle down somewhere with a temperate climate, preferably near the beach and some golf courses.

I've been a soldier, a sailor, and currently work in the oil and gas industry. I'm also studying environmental economics and sociology in my spare time and during travel. I guess I'm a bit of an adventurer, a nomad and somewhat shy initially. Maybe those attributes don´t interest you that much, even if you do think my shaved noggin is kind of cute. I really do get it. But I have some good qualities too, if you care to look for them.

Actually I would prefer to meet in a group setting - in a pub with a few friends or going sailing, or skiing. Somewhere that the intensity level is dialed down a notch.
