I've recently moved back home because my mother's health is bad and she really isn't capable of taking care of herself. So I'm looking for some friends around the Shelby area who share some common interests or have an interest that I'd like to learn about. I'm very diverse and well educated, so I have a very keen interest in learning and having new experiences. I guess you would say I consider myself something of a Renaissance Man, except I don't really think I really qualify for that. I just like adventure and learning new things.

I'm a romantic at heart. I open doors for lady, pull out their chair at a restaurant (then laugh like crazy when they hit the floor! JUST KIDDING! Geez, give a guy a break for trying to lighten the mood LOL). I like cuddling and holding hands. Romantic candlelight dinners. Walks on the beach or in the woods. Cuddled up together on the couch watching a romantic movie. I've also been called other things, such as dano under dash boy under dash mi at yoohoo (here).

So friendship first, and then, if we are hitting it off, a possible long term relationship. But that is not something I think people should rush into. Rather, they should take their time to make sure that an LTR is what they want together.

A first date would start with meeting at a restaurant or coffee shop, someplace public. We'd chat and get to know each other better. Then, if we seem to be hitting it off, we might got to a movie or a museum or take a walk on the beach or at a park.
