I’m a unique 40s Yorkshire gal, looking for a unique (preferably though may be not essential) late 30s to late 40s Yorkshire guy! What makes me unique? You’ll have to message me to find out.

I dislike shopping whether it be for food or clothes (although it has to be done) - I enjoy football! I don't like chocolate or ice-cream!

What am I looking for and why am I here? Well no doubt the same as you - To meet somebody who will put up with me, sorry, I mean enjoy the good times with me, the bad times, the sad times and no doubt the arguments, but what comes after an argument is the making up times.

Well no doubt the snow is due to lighten our paths again before too too long so it is time to put the BBQ away and get the gloves and scarves out ready for an impromptu snowball fight! Before then though, would you like to take a walk through the park and kick up all the leaves, or even have a leaf fight! Then head home for a lovely warming drink and then curl up, as snug as bugs in rugs. Did I say put the BBQ away? Do you love Barbecues? How about a BBQ in the snow or rain? I want somebody to turn to me, mid scary film, and shout ‘BOO!’ Just so that I will jump into his arms! Somebody to snuggle under the covers with and let me moan about the crumbs from the stolen biscuits and then manage to turn it into a full scale pillow fight - don’t you just love them? Somebody who won’t mind and think I’m soft just for putting a lil post-it note in their coat pocket - just because. Somebody to keep me sane and share the good, the bad and possibly the ugly times ahead. Sitting around in a field full of cows or on the moors enjoying the surroundings and each others company. Enjoying 'our' time but also someone who is prepared to enjoy the company of my son now and again (and no I'm not looking for a stand-in dad for him). I state up there that I do not want children - that means that I personally do not want to go through the hell of giving birth to anymore, but I am more than willing to enjoy the company of yours. I have a 13yo son who won't be 13 forever, he has a better social life than me, so I think it is about time I got my own.

I love holidays, especially Menorca, not exotic as such but the way of life, the friendliness of the people, the scenery, the towns and the beaches are just my idea of heaven. I'm not particularly a sports lover, although I do follow the local football results (and premier league too) and I am partial to the odd game of pool (even if I do play quite badly). I love to get my teeth into a good book, be it thriller, suspense or romantic comedy - I think my favourite authors would be the likes of Dan Brown, Harlan Coben & Stephen King. The same goes for films, as much as I enjoy romantic comedies I prefer films on the lines of Papillon & Green Mile, something with a good storyline. My musical taste ranges from Abba to ZzTop including everything & anything in between! Live concerts give me a great Buzz - having recently seen Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Cher, Enrique (Mmmmmm!) and in June my sister is dragging me to see BoyzOwn! Please don't hold that against me though!

Having just converted and transformed my horrible and dirty cellar (and it WAS horrible and dirty) into a mini gym, I am in the process of reducing those few too many extra pounds, although it isn’t as easy as it sounds as I made the mistake of also transforming it into a mini wine cellar - Cycling with a glass of wine is easy but it is hard not to spill it when on the rowing machine!

Although up there I state that I occasionally smoke, I do this (usually) on my front door step and not in the company of non-smokers. It is my resolution to quit, but need somebody/something to keep my mind/hands occupied whilst trying.

Coffee or glass of wine/beer... Don't do food on 1st date, unless it's a hot dog at the local footie match.
Somewhere to meet up for an hour or so and just to see if there is or could be 'anything' there.
