I am a man of few words, unless there's a conversation; but still, I have two ears and only one mouth for a reason. You won't hear me talk about myself much. So I’ll let some friends speak for me.

Maryanne: Who enjoys poetry, walks on the beach and poking dead things with a stick: “His actions and friendship speak volumes. On your first date, you’ll probably notice he’s easy going, has a healthy and humorous look at life, courteous, chivalrous, a little bit ornery, and sometimes spacey or maybe even a little clumsy. If you’re going to continue to see him then get used to it.”

My cat: Who I believe is secretly the head of the American cell of the terrorist group Fuzzbollah: “He feeds me, pets me and talks to me. What more could you want?” Translated from “Meow meow Prrrrr mreow.”

Dave: Who once taunted a sweet old woman at Walmart by answering “What? - What?” to her repeated offerings for a free hearing test: “Jeff needs a woman who is kind, honest, and yet not afraid to say what she means. He’s no fan of chronic complainers (especially about weather); and he pretty much lives by that “Serenity Prayer”. He’s a good guy who’s always there, doesn’t judge, and cheers you up.”

Seriously though; I'm looking for what my parents still have. They've been married for over 50 years and are very happy. I believe honesty, humor and appreciation for what you have got them/us through the rough times (glass half full). I am looking for family (eventually), either your kids or "ours", and if you have a lot of extended family here, then that's a bonus! All of my family is in Phoenix.

I don't take a good picture, so I know I look like a toad. But if you let us meet, I will sweep you off your feet (Ok, I'm no poet, but I will probably make you laugh!).

If you get my humor and appreciate my style, then say hello. I'm not desperate, and am content with being alone, but I know there's more if the right person comes along. I've made a few friends here, and am still friends with some of them and usually their boyfriends as well.

As for the name; I'm from Phoenix and I like/make spicy food.
