I'm an artist (potter) living in Woodstock, NY. I tend to read lot, "Wash the laundry? How can I? I'm busy reading. Enjoy good food, good wine, engaging conversation & beautiful women. Now don't get me wrong re "beautiful" women. The sexiest part of a woman is that organ that lies behind the eyes and between the ears. Meaning; I prefer smarts over looks if I've a choice. Lived most of my life in NYC, left college to study art. Tend to be introspective. I believe it was Plato that said "The unexamined life isn't worth living", I wouldn't go that far but it surely would be a bore. Since being an artist is a tough way to make a living I've had about a dozen different careers, all fun. Hate TV, (refuse to own one) most Hollywood movies are visual chewing gum, can't stand $400 blue jeans. Whatever happened to dungarees? (Seems I'm in training to become a curmudgeon.) Love classical music, Jazz, the Blues, I even enjoy old Broadway show tunes. I find life a continuous adventure and look forward to a new one each day.
What I'm looking for in a woman is someone to meet me half way. I feel the days of wooing and chasing are over. With that said, I still enjoy holding a chair & opening doors for a lady. i.e.
I want a woman who can stand on her own, who can stand up to my political/philosophical blather and give it back to me in spades. I'm no liberal, "radical" best describes me.
I don't take myself or life too seriously. I have the capacity to laugh at myself & my foibles. And life is too important to take seriously.

I like to keep things simple. People complicate their lives unnecessarily. A first date should be a simple cup of coffee or a drink. Indeed, if there is a common attraction (chemistry) on to dinner and conversation. Through a conversation we can learn if we can stand each other. lol
