IMPORTANT!!(Actually N.B.)I was somewhat coerced(by my brother)into posting; and not knowing what, if anything, to expect, I posted an incorrect birthyear.

Responses happened to be acceptable to my standards, and when I attempted to correct my birthyear-in the interest of honesty, I had apparently passed the deadline set by POF. So, I'm actually 10 yrs older than the profile indicates.

Short of deleting my profile and posting anew, this is the easiest way of correcting this error.

Now, although I may be in the "Long-term" category, and not to pre-emptively strike any other possibilities, I guess I'd like to meet a friend first, which might lead to a date which might lead to a longer-term relation-any or all of the above three scenarios would be acceptable.



I'm easy going, apparently everyone is, I take nothing for granted or too seriously. I'm known to have a satirical sense of humor. Just haven't been paid for it. Of course, they'll have my cooking.




Enjoy working but I also have fun in all sorts of activities-especially outdoors (i.e. get-togethers with friends at the cottage, walks, movies, nice dinners, daytrips, interesting discussions and debates, etc. I thrive on hectic days but look forward to more quiet peaceful moments. I'm an eclectic-optimistic type personality, willing to try everything at least once - always thinking that I'll probably like it, and so it's worth trying.


I'm a perfectly good showpiece at black-tie events or at the backwoods cottage-versatile huh?

I keep myself fit, worked as a model, am a gourmet cook, mechanic, handyman; I adore children, pets-big & small, all sorts of film, music, literature, culture and architecture.


My efforts at romantic gestures might be construed as a little sappy to the point of embarrassment. I suppose, as they say, it's the thought that counts, but I can clean the snow off your car or roof, replace a kitchen faucet, remodel the bathroom-kitchen-nook or cook a romantic dinner to write home about. All that, and with a smile of course-merci. So I can speak French as well, and a few other languages.


Obviously looking for a woman with similar type interests; open-minded, witty-you know!? Able to hold some sort of conversation sembling intellect, and knows how to enjoy themselves.

Complications and drama are not required nor necessary as they have never really been a part in my life. All that is needed is willingness to build the foundation of a relation; trust- and so honesty.After that, we laugh, have fun and the rest will take care of itself-literally!! Trust me!!?

I am willing and able to put the time and effort to make a relationship work if the right elements and components are there. Truth be told, it's all in honest communication.
