i think most people are missing some of the truths about relationships which in turn makes most of them fail. someone told me long ago that a relationship is the hardest thing that you will ever do in your life. after being involved in 3 long term ones, he was absolutely correct. i think we pick our mates who have similar childhood wounds and with an opposite set of defenses. we choose them sub-consciously because we want to make ourselves whole. it seems we pick a partner who will exacerbate our old hurts/fears to bring these issues to the surface. for the relationship to be healthy, you would need to be my therapist and i would need to be yours. sounds romantic huh? but....i want to fall in love, i want to look at you from across the room and feel my heart nearly burst open. i want to think of you, i want to miss you when we are apart and i want you to miss me.
i believe in love, i believe in honesty, i believe in happiness, i believe in marriage. there is nothing greater than the bond two people can share.
