Hi....I'm a simple man, hard working, dedicated to those I love. I'm 48 years old, and have a BEAUTIFUL 6 year old son who lives with me half the time/joint custody. I have a great job and love to have fun. I'm looking for that special someone who is family oriented, honest, with strong values. I think it's important to have a job you love, but not love it above all other things. I grew up in Rhode Island, and my family is still there. I have a New England accent, and am a "wicked hard core" Red Sox and Patriots Fan...Celtic's too. I have "adopted" the Avalanche. As you can tell, I love a good sports game, but not head games. I consider myself witty, funny, and at times, a complete fool. Boys will be boys! But I also have a balance in my personality. I can be very serious where being serious is warranted. I love animals, but won't chain myself to a prarie dog. I like to climb mountains, but choose not to hang off the side of one. I don't seek the "rush" to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I see the beauty in sunsets and rainbows. I find lightning storms thrilling, but have sense enough to get out of the rain. I'm knowledgable in a wide variety of subjects and interests and pride myself in being able to carry on a conversation on many topics. Being the first to aknowledge that I don't know everything. I think any great relationship should start as friends, and grow from there. A foundation to build upon. I like all kinds of music to an extent. Never really got a stirrup on Country music. I guess that's why I've never been on a real horse either. Grew up rockin to AC/DC, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, etc. Dance music a must, living thru Disco. I used to be a chef, and enjoy cooking......or should I say passionate about cooking! Hated the hours and dedication to the job, though it would be worth it if you owned the place. I miss the New England charm and food from Maine to Conneticut. I try and visit annually to re-up my accent and cravings for seafood by the ocean. A walk thru a marina, sunrise over the ocean, sail boats with no shoreline restrictions, and all the coast has to offer. I do love the mountains and outdoor activities. The Rocky Mountains remind me of the White Mountains I so fondly love in New Hampshire......only bigger! I don't ski. I tried to, but that's a long story. I've been on many ski trips, but prefer "indoor" slopes instead. I'm the guy waiting in the lounge watching football and sipping a drink till you return from the slopes. I don't mind,if skiing is your thing. As long as we're together later. We all have hobbies and passions that the other may not participate in. It's making it all work for both, that counts. You'll have to be a very special cowgirl to get me on that horse, though. Can't knock what I haven't tried!

My perfect first date would probably be a nice lunch or a quiet dinner to talk and get to know each other. Meeting someone new brings some anxieties and angsts with it. A quiet setting may help with the conversations. Afterwards, a nice walk or a round of mini golf could continue the date if both are comfortable. Knowing ones likes and dislikes from the conversations might even bring out some spontanious ideas. I think both of us could suggest the direction of the date from there.
