I'm a retired law enforcement officer currently working part-time in Security. I'm a nice, decent man w/an irreverent sense of humor. I try not to take too many things too seriously, unless it's absolutely warranted. My mother and daughters love me, my dog adores me and my cat tolerates me. I don't do the bar scene, unless I'm out w/friends or on a date. I enjoy dancing(especially the slow ones), listening to music(except Rap, Heavy Metal and some Jazz),WFNK(107.5 FM), WJBQ(97.9 FM), WHOM(94.9 FM) on the radio, watching TV("Bones","CSI","Law & Order- Criminal Intent","COPS","Two and a Half Men","According To Jim","Seinfeld" and Public Television programs), reading(mysteries,thrillers & true crime), movies (Dramas,Comedies,Mysteries/Thrillers, Musicals & "Chick Flicks"), lots of laughter & good conversation. I don't play "head games" or w/people's emotions & feelings as I don't enjoy/appreciate people doing the same to me. I feel that mutual respect is essential in a relationship and that one has to "give it to get it". Everyone has some baggage...is it "carry on" or been "checked". I treat people the way I expect to be treated w/common courtesy,simple kindness,honesty and respect. I practice doing random acts of kindness and the principle of "Pay It Forward". My favorite poem is "Desiderata". I'm far from "perfect" so I don't seek perfection, nor am I a "Ken" and am not looking for "Barbie". I'm seeking the one who is "just right" for me and I'm "just right" for her.

I've been single for a long time and I do miss the intimacy(sharing,conversations,plans,etc.)of a relationship. I own a Honda GoldWing motorcycle & belong to the Blue Knights M/C Club. I have season tickets to the Portland Sea Dogs. I'm a Lifelong Member of Red Sox Nation and a NE Patriots & Boston Celtics fan. I own a Time Share in Rangeley and use my membership to enhance my travel/vacation plans. I have lots of items on my own "Bucket List" and would welcome having a partner to join me in this continuing adventure called "Life". By the way, chivalry may be dormant but it's not dead. I'm not interested in meeting narrow minded,fundamentalist,religious,zealots as I've found that they're usually hypocrites and refuse to accept some of the founding freedoms, rights & principles of this country(Freedom Of Religion and Separation of Church & State).
