I love the outdoors, animals, and plays/Musicals. I know it's an odd combinatiopn but comes from 17 years of marriage to a music teacher. Been divorced for some 9 years now.
I do have cancer. Although some very good results from my last tests, there is no cure, so am not a good long term canidate!!! It's very a rare type, located in the Bile Duct. Not something I was sure I would share, but honesty is the best policy, and did not want to waste someones time.
I have a 23 year old son who graduated with honors from Marquette in May of 2008 on an ROTC Scholarship with the Navy. He got married a year ago and although stationed at Pearl Harbor he is currently (August 2009) off the North Korean Shores. I also have a 19 year old son (today August 2nd) Who will be attending College, is a hunter and fisherman who is interested in Conservation. Finally, I am the proud father of an 9th grader, 14 year old daughter that is my promise from God and I treat/spoil her as such. She is extremely talented as a Singer/Actress. Has sung at a Cubs game, several minor league games, and all around Illinois. Although they do not live with me, I see them as often as I possibly can. I love them all more than my next breath. Most important to me is that they know that as well. The saying they always remember and remind me of is that they will never be to old for me to hold their hand or give them a kiss on the lips. My oldest son reminded me of that at his Officers Commissioning Ceremony when when he came over and in front of 1,000 people, kissed me on the lips, and said I would never be to old or sick for him to kiss me on the lips either. (Why do I love my kids? You tell me).
I know, I know. That's a lot of baggage. Most of you who will be reading this have been through enough baggage to work at O'Hare. So please, no sympathy responses. I still have all the wants and needs that we as adults all have. I just choose to let you know up front that as things are now, I am not, nor will I be a long term, grow old together prospect. If that's what you're looking for, I wish you all the luck in the world.

Movies: Braveheart, Sixth Sense, and Remember Me.
Favorite Vacation: Ireland

A walk, a bike ride, horseback riding, a day in the woods, or a meal and movie at home so we can still talk through the movie. Anyplace where conversation can take place. I would hate to go through all this, then go do something where we could not even get to know one another.
