I'm a busy, independent, thinking woman who makes time for people and things that are important to me. I'm a city girl who loves the country; walking through dirt doesn't scare me because I clean up well and can wear stilletos with the best of them.

I love exploring other cultures, countries, and different ways of doing things -- and I enjoy those things so much more with someone special by my side. I've always loved international travel and short road trips, good entertainment (movies, plays, performance art) and I'm very active but I like to slow down, preferably in front of a fireplace with good company, good music (very diverse tastes), and good food. Anybody interested in learning how to play acoustic guitar or learning how to speak Spanish fluently with me?

I'm looking for a special guy who has a spiritual (NOT religious) side and a good sense of himself. Skin colour means nothing to me; I like diversity. A sense of humour means everything to me (still have British wit). I seek someone smart who is ready to settle down and begin the adventure of sharing life with a partner who knows his own worth as much as he knows mine. I'm looking for an educated, affectionate, humble, honest man who enjoys good conversations and will enjoy being active with me. I'm seeking someone who knows what happiness looks and feels like -- and knows how to make it happen in a relationship. Communication is really important; if you're the type who can't talk through disagreements or misunderstandings then we are NOT compatible. If talking about anything from politics to religion to science to movies bothers you, then we're definitely not compatible. That said, I'm not into extremists, fanatics or ultra-conservative types (I'm much more into the Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert style of progressive politics and fun conversation); I want peace in my life and arguing with social conservatives/holy rollers just doesn't do it for me. Also: Men who want children (or even if you're just not sure, or if you state "would rather not say" in your profile) should take note of my age and varied interests -- and not waste either of our time by writing.

I'd like to go someplace where we can talk and get to know each other; coffee (Ok, I prefer tea) in a cozy cafe works for me...any place we can get comfortable learning about each other through conversation. I like to take my time to get to know someone (but I'm not looking for a pen-pal); I'm not in a rush (but not into wasting my time either). I'm not into games, and I'd like a solid foundation to build on.
