Don't you hate this part? What on earth are we supposed to say to try and inspire confidence and interest? We all know that we start with the pictures and then (if the person is cute enough) we check to make sure they are capable of putting two sentences together. The real question is... is it possible to be witty enough to inpsire someone to look past the pictures? Can you truly find comfort and true knowledge of what someone's is about and who they truly are in the context of a dating "profile". So... here it is, not another opportunity to speak of the virtues of "me". I truly hate this part. I am a father first and foremost, but as much as I love having my son around... I would love to have someone to share the rest of the days (and nights) with. Three dogs keep the house from being empty and when the weather finally warms up... it's time to trade the SUV for the convertible and drop the top for a drive in the VA wine country. It is always more fun with a friend riding shotgun.

Oh come on... first dates are entirely subjective. Every one is unique and I can't imagine creating a "template for dating". I will say that one of the best dates I ever had was sharing a pint of Haagen Daaz, while sitting under an early summer night's sky at the local park... simple, but possibly the most memorable of evenings/dates I have ever experienced.
