I'm fairly open-minded, actually. Usually I prefer to meet someone at a "hang out" sort of place before making a "date." I like Starbucks as a good place to get to know someone initially. A bookstore like Borders might also work. Afterwords, it could be dinner & a movie, or something more creative/crazy.
