I like to be genuine so what you read below is me ... not all of me, but a snapshot, a glimpse, enough to help you say, hmm interesting...or not ...

I have a great circle of friends and family whom I love passionately, and enjoy for their humour, their love, their warmth, their playfulness.

I love being active. Nothing better to me than a day out golfing, or skiing, playing tennis, or mountain biking. I like adventure (took up surfing last year) and am game to try just about anything once (though I won't go bungee jumping cause that's just plain dumb).

I watch movies that capture my heart (whether an adreneline rush, a sob story, or dark and soulful).

I am really happy when I'm sipping coffee, in bed, with a paper, and my dog, and someone to lie there with in a rumpled mess listening to Billie Holiday.

Or off travelling to somewhere new and exciting. I absolutely love Paris and Venice, and Sienna, and New York, where you see such beautiful architecture, and interesting people and stand and imagine what life must have been like 200 years ago.

I also love places of vastness like the Rockies, or the Oregan coast, or watching a giant herd of elephants on the plains of Africa. And I like places where you can just hang, like a cottage. That feeling of comfort and relaxation when you go back to the same cottage year after year, sitting on the porch, with the smell of a bbq going, the dry grass, the fresh water, sipping drinks with friends, and playing some cards.

I cook, and would say I'm decent though my friends always suggest I bring the chips and booze when it's potluck (hmmmm...).

I have a professional job and work hard, but I also like playing and like people that are into that.

I love animals, dogs in particular, mine especially when she is curled up next to me on the bed.

I've been married and divorced, and then in a relationship. So I think (cause one can never be certain about anything except we don't really know much about anything) ... I have worked out the kinks, and the hangups, and maybe, just maybe, grown up a little, but not too much.

I like people who are confident, who are goal oriented, active, interested in lots of things, and have a sense of humour. And I have fairly lowbrow humour (40 year old virgin, Austin Powers kind of humor). So would be nice to have same sensibility. Cause I really love laughing, its one of my favorite things to do and experience so yeah, I need to be with people who like to laugh.
