Dating is such a fickle game. I want you but you don't want me, you want me but I don't want you. It's a wonder any of us ever make a connection.

People always ask "what is it you're looking for?" on these sites. Is it ok not to know? I hope so! Here's what I do know: I'm pretty happy right now. I have great friends and family but sometimes it's nice to go out with someone new and learn everything about them. I'd like to find someone who inspires that combination of physical and emotional attraction, admiration and compatability.

What do I like? I'm pretty laid back. I like going for walks with my dogs, cuddling on the couch watching tv or movies (take out is always a great addition), hanging out with friends and doing goofy stuff like bowling or playing pool or mini putt. I'm an affectionate person, I will kiss you in public (not disgustingly mind you) and if you're laying on the couch and I'm bored chances are I'll jump you...just the way I am. I've been told more than once that I'm too nice for my own good. I've been single for a while now and I'm ready to start looking for someone to be with, to spend my spare time with and cuddle up with at night. If you're up for that, then let's talk.

Warning - I am not a drama free girl! I notice a lot of people writing in their profiles that drama queens need not apply. I am not drama free, but life is never free of complications. I believe it's not the things that happen to you but how you deal with them that make you the person you are.

What things do I like in a man?
I like someone who can laugh at himself and not take things too seriously.
Someone who loves me for my ridiculous quirks and accepts me even when I'm a slob who spills as much food as I eat and often has trouble walking without falling.
Someone down to earth, easy going, confident but not****, funny and smart!
Someone who's on my side always but will challenge me.
Someone who understands that sometimes I just won't make sense.
Someone who loves my pets. I've learned from past relationships that if you don't accept my animals it's just not going to work.

Depends on the guy, on our connection, on how long we've been talking. For those of you who immediately ask me on a date in your first e-mail, it's not going to happen. I like to get to know someone for a bit, makes an actual meeting much less awkward when we know enough about each other to be able to hold a conversation.
