About Me
Ok, I'm not going to start by listing all my self-designated great qualities and achievements. I'm also not going to list the 163 qualities I’m looking for in someone else; when two people click it's not because they met each others' checklist requirements, it's about chemistry, but I have to admit that good spelling/grammar definitely are turn-ons : ) A sense of humor and not taking everything so seriously or literally would also be good. And come on, don't we all want basically the same things from the partner we're hoping to find?
I guess it’s only fair that I paint a picture of myself for you, so here’s what I’ll give up right now. I’m very feminine but I’m not a typical NYC girl. I don’t talk incessantly or have a cell phone permanently attached to my ear, don’t wear Uggs, and you won’t find me going dancing or doing brunch with the girls. I'm drama-phobic (who needs that crap). I’m athletic and usually run every other day. I'm somewhat sarcastic but not obnoxious. I've been told that I'm easy to be around, warm, sensitive, funny, thoughtful and kind. I find a lot of pleasure in doing things that make those I care about happy. I love music with "a soul" and think there’s nothing better than experiencing it live. Can't get enough of Sundance, IFC, HBO, and lately the History Channel too. I love movies, Paul Newman, Gregory Peck, Jimmy Stewart, but newer stuff too (I would see anything with Christian Bale in it!). I have a solid job, most would refer to as a career, but to me it’s just another learning experience in my life’s journey. I’m a bit of an pragmatic idealist if that makes any sense. I think that something good can usually be found in most people/things; sometimes you have to look from a different angle to find it. I can be a bit shy and I'm sometimes accused of being too compassionate and forgiving of others. Love animals, have a crazy 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who needs a doggy shrink but still, I couldn’t imagine life without her. I’m completely respectful of and dedicated to those whom I love however, I don’t choose who I spend time with based on what my family or friends might think of them.
I'm not looking to rush anything; let's meet, hopefully like each other, have a good time, and see what happens from there. Don't be shy, I won't bite :)
First Date
Anything that doesn't involve our mothers and does include chocolate, beer, tequila, ethnic food, (although not necessarily in the same sitting) would be desirable. Hedging my bets that at least one will appeal to you but if not, I will definitely compromise :)
