I had to sit down and asked myself what it is I'm really looking for in a partner...it's a tough question and I don't really have a definitive answer to that. I cringe at the idea of typing out a list of "characteristics" of what I like and dislike in a person. So I decided I'd just mention a few things that are important to me....

-sense of humour (most days i need a good laugh)
-honesty (if I need to explain that then you're not the one for me)
-responsible (ie. working, paying bills, avoiding legal issues...you know, the basics)
-willing to take some time getting to know each other
-not afraid to get your hands dirty (and I sincerely mean that)

Basically, hoping to meet someone kind, and sorted out, and true to their word.

I live a quiet country and I love it that way. My profile says "separated" but, I have been on my own for 5 years and consider myself "very single". I have a 10yr old son, I work as a commercial interior designer and I teach horse back riding and run a small farm so, my spare (dating) time is a bit limited. Meeting someone who has an interest or appreciation of farm life would be great.

By now we've all acquired some bumps and bruises along the road of life. It makes us who we are, it makes us real. Blue Rodeo sang "ooh, she loved the lines around his mouth".... to me, these lines tell our stories. I am not perfect and I'm not looking for perfection. I'm looking for a certain feeling....a feeling I haven't felt for some time now. It's more about being emotionally and intellectually stimulated. Physical stimulation grows from that, at least it does for me. Does that make sense?

oh...by the way...it'd be awfully helpful if you love sloppy dog kisses and don't mind lazing around in bed with a coffee and the sunday paper..... :)
