The first date is a real important step in dating. It tells alot, that first impression. My idea of a good date is hanging out at the mall or the park. Somewhere both people are comfortable with one another. That makes the getting to know process alot easier and go from there. But i do like to go for romantic walks at the lake but that dont come till later.
