I am 5'7", have strawberry blonde hair and green eyes. My interests are just about everything - MUSIC (I love to sing), painting, photography, reading, writing, movies, you etc., etc., If you are a musician we could have a great time making music. My favorite genre is jazz and blues but I appreciate ALL good music. I have a humanoid cat, Sophie, and love all animals - except for deer - After two wrecks, I'm convinced they are conspiring to kill me. I'm spiritual but not religious, passionate but not easy, feisty but not mean (unless you try to make me watch football)'

' Although I seem very self-sufficient I do miss having someone to share things with and lean on from time to time. I'd like a man for a best friend as well as lover.
I'm a native Californian but moved to Maine in 2000. I'm trained as an artist and teacher and work in finance. I have one sweet daughter who is now in college.
Someone pointed out that I didn't say what kind of person I was looking for - I guess I won't know for sure until I meet him. Some of the qualities I'm looking for are: intelligence, curiosity, a loving and affectionate nature, kindness, humor, someone who doesn't sweat the small stuff, does not have an alcohol/drug problem, reliability and honesty. A man who cooks, cleans and plays a mean piano, guitar, violin or trumpet (not all at once) is, I think, way too much to ask for.
Actually, I think we all just want to find a person we can't live without. My experience is that when you meet that person the list flies out the window - this is sometimes good and sometimes very, very bad. Maybe it is, like some scientists say, that we are just fatally attracted to people who have a certain natural scent... So, if we meet and I lean over and smell your neck, I am not trying to attack you. I am just doing research...
I would enjoy going out for coffee and conversation to see if we click. A drink wouldn't be out of the question either - it might break the ice a little and convince you to come back to my house and clean my kitchen...
