I'm a good-hearted, happy lady, living the simple life - who would like to find my counterpart in a gentleman.

Family is hugely important to me.....I have one daughter in her early 30s - married, successful, - and, the light of my life........I have a large, noisy, friendly, loving, somewhat convoluted extended family of brothers, sister,numerous nieces and nephews - most of whom live on the North Island - so, I go home as often as I can!

I work in a Human Resources position with the Government - a job I've held for almost 25 years...........I'm looking forward to retiring in a couple of years, or so. I do tend to be abit of a workaholic - so, we'll see if I meet the 2 year time-line. Maybe it'll depend on what other incentives I have by then....

I'm a happy lady - alone, but certainly not lonely.......I've been blessed with life-long friends - with whom I love to spend time....

I love animals - all animals........well, maybe not spiders and lizards..but, they're really not animals, are they? :) A couple of cats hang around here, confident in their belief that the soft life they lead, is entirely their due.

I love people........I love great conversation, lively debate, sappy movies, laughter, a good read, a wood-burning fireplace and a blanket to snuggle in, right in front of it. I love a warm Starbucks Peppermint Mocha on Winter Days - and an Iced Caramel Macchiatto on sunny Summer Days. I love photography - and am striving to get that "perfect shot"....In the meantime, I practice on my ever-patient, ever-indulgent, always-adorable nieces and nephews - who are so lovely, that even when my shots aren't perfect, the pictures are!

I'd love to find someone with interests in at least "some of the above"....,someone who enjoys people, and to whom family is important....someone who wants to bring their own interests and passions to share in a relationship.

I don't know that I would define a first meeting as a date. Perhaps we could meet for coffee on a weekend morning - I loooooooooove Starbucks - and sitting at the tables outside. Or perhaps, we could grab a coffee and go for a walk. (Bring your dog, if you have one!)

Then..........if we wanted a "real date", we could decide together what our first date would be!
